Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz is committed to making the websites of its domain “uni-mainz.de” as accessible to all users as possible. The legal basis for this is the Landesgesetz zur Gleichstellung behinderter Menschen (LGGBehM, State Act on Equal Opportunities of Persons with Disabilities) and the Barrierefreie-Informationstechnik-Verordnung Rheinland-Pfalz (BITV RP, Ordinance on Barrier-Free Information Technology Rhineland-Palatinate).
The websites of the domain “uni-mainz.de” are currently designed to be as accessible as possible within the scope of technical feasibility. During the university-wide website relaunch, the aim is to further adapt the layout and ensure accessibility for all. Earlier adjustments to the design of the website beyond those planned would constitute a disproportionate burden for Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz as defined in section 7 subsection 3 LGGBehM and the university is therefore exempt from the obligation to provide the accessibility specified in section 7 subsection 1 LGGBehM.
If you have any concerns related to website accessibility, please contact:
